research

Before the restoration of an object, it is necessary to carry out an examination of the artwork in order to determine the object’s manufacturing technique, as well as the defects that have arisen and the reasons for their occurrence.

The research is carried out with the help of a high-level microscope, and chemical analyses are also performed in cooperation with chemist Indra Tuņa. Layer stratigraphy and its photographic documentation are carried out. All obtained data are documented and handed over to the client.

Cost estimates are prepared for the restoration work, methodology is developed, and the necessary documents for the development of various projects are prepared.

Restoration

Each object’s restoration program is developed based on the facts obtained during the research. High-quality professional restoration materials are used.

Making copies

The knowledge and skills acquired at the Art Academy—making copies of old masters’ originals and working with originals in museums—make it possible for anyone to obtain a high-quality reproduction for their own property.

Gilding

I also carry out gilding and silvering work, using high-quality materials. Both oil-gilding and water gilding on bole are used.
